Project Summary

GGP’s vision to redevelop an existing mini-anchor space into several Food Concepts allowed for the creation of a 23,000 square foot indoor/outdoor social food hall at Ala Moana Center (AMC).

In collaboration with Michigan-based interior design firm, Studio H2G, and the entire local Architect and Engineering team, GGP repurposed the existing retail space within an older structure into a social food hall design that showcases adapt-reuse, and displays a rich and diverse line of materials, and details. There are eleven (11) interior tenants and one (1) exterior kiosk tenant providing a variety of food experiences.

There are two main exterior features – the 100’ long suspended steel entry canopy that cantilevers 21’-6” over the existing mall walkway and the steel food tower standing over two levels of walkways.

The modern and clean architectural lines of the Lanai was the inspiration for the landscape design.
