PROJECT SUMMARY: Next Design was contracted by Kaiser Permanente for the Schematic Design of the Kaiser Permanente Pearlridge Medical Office. Next Design worked closely with the Kaiser team during the scoping and discussions with the Landlord/Developer (Blacksand Capital) for the 12,000 SF medical clinic at the Pearlridge Shopping Center. Through meetings with Kaiser and Blacksand, the developer was able to preorder the major steel members to ensure a timely delivery of the project. The services provided at the Pearlridge Medical Office include Family Practice, Pediatrics, Pharmacy, and Lab Services. The design incorporates Kaiser Permanente’s Total Health Environment concept with modifications to regionalize it to the Honolulu market. The project was recognized for its excellence nationally by Kaiser Permanente and was awarded the Project of the Quarter in 2013.
